It has been proven combined with the right medical advice from your vet or physiotherapist, swimming has been a tremendous benefit to help get your dog back to his/her best. It is always best to check with your vet or physiotherapist before commencing with a Hydrotherapy exercise regime.
Weight loss
A combination of exercise and a good diet will help your dog reach and maintain their appropriate weight range. Weight gain or overweight dogs are generally contributed to by an incorrect diet and lack of exercise. It's a great idea to check with your vet about your dog’s weight and condition to see if your dog is within its healthy weight range. Dogs that are overweight do have increased pressure on their joints and muscles. We also have bouncy vests available for use in many different sizes. Please consider utilizing our Canine Treadmill services in conjunction with a swimming routine. This has proven to be most effective in helping to shift those stubborn kilos.

Swimming minimizes the pressure on the hips and joints whilst still increasing your dog’s heart rate and mobility. Keeping your dog’s weight within a healthy range is also a good idea.
